Skipper Limited installs one of India’s largest galvanising plants in West Bengal

Skipper Limited has set up one of India’s largest galvanising plants in Uluberia, West Bengal. The plant will be dedicated to structures that are 2.5 metres in diameter and 12 metres in length. It will have a galvanising capacity of 8,000 tonnes per month and enhance Skipper Limited’s manufacturing capacity for towers and monopoles of the highest size. By enhancing its manufacturing capacity, Skipper aims to support the Make In India initiative. Currently, the company has a manufacturing capacity of over 200,000 million tonnes (mt) in power transmission and distribution and 35,000 mt in polyvinyl chloride pipes in India. The company has five state-of-the-art construction manufacturing facilities in Uluberia, Junglepore, Ahmedabad and Guwahati, with two under-construction units in Hyderabad and Sikandrabad.
