Delta inaugurates its new manufacturing plant in India

Delta, a global provider of power and thermal management solutions, has launched its third manufacturing plant in India at Hosur in Tamil Nadu. The plant is part of Delta’s investment commitment and expansion plan in India. In the initial phase, the Hosur plant will manufacture the C and CP series of variable frequency drives (VFDs) with a rating of 10 HP to 50 HP. In the second phase, the E series VFDx of 7.5 HP to 30 HP rating will be manufactured. The factory has been designed and built using environmental conservation measures and it will provide a healthy and safe workplace for employees. Delta Electronics India is looking to invest about $500 million over the next 10 years with the expected creation of over 20,000 jobs. The company has experience in drives, motion, control, power quality, industrial networks, sensors and robot solutions, and provides information management systems such as supervisory control and data acquisition and industrial energy management systems to develop complete, integrated solutions for future smart manufacturing.
