Havells India Limited has marked its entry into entry-level modular switches with the launch of its innovative range of switches, called Reo Bliss. With this launch, the company will enhance its presence from 700 to 1,100 towns with a population of 50,000 and above over the next two to three years. The switches represent a symbiosis of advanced technology, maximum functionality and exquisite design. The new range carries a compact exterior with shrouded terminals, captive screws, brass terminals, an arc shield, and a shuttered socket providing smooth and noise-free operation. The new range will be manufactured at the company’s plant at Baddi, and will be available at an attractive price of Rs 19 onwards. The switches will be available in seven colours and three different combinations, and will be made from coloured polymers, against the general trend of painting the plastic covers, which helps in retaining the colour and shine throughout the life of the switch. With this launch, the company is expecting an overall growth rate of 10 per cent from the switch segment and is targeting revenue of Rs 1 billion from the entry-level modular switches category over the next two to three years.
