Solargise India launches commercial operations

Solargise India Private Limited, the Bengaluru-based solar product manufacturing and project development company, has officially launched its commercial operations. Aligning with the National Solar Mission, Solargise intends to build over 2 GW of solar power plants across the country over the next three to four years. Supporting the Make in India mission, Solargise is setting up manufacturing plants for 500 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) cells and 500 MW of third-generation solar PV modules with patented technology. The state-of-the-art manufacturing plants will be set up in Dabaspet Industrial Area, Bengaluru. The facility will house a climate chamber for module reliability testing and a research and development centre for energy storage solutions. Solargise has selected GE as its strategic technology and engineering, procurement and construction partner to deliver 2 GW of solar power projects in India over the next three to four years, using GE’s latest generation 1.5 kV inverters, transformers and supervisory control and data acquisition system.
