Magnatech Smart Grid Solutions Private Limited is setting up a service support centre in Delhi, which will function as a central hub, operated by competent, experienced and trained engineers and technicians under the leadership of the company’s director (technology) Vimal Shyam. The centre would provide after-sales support to its customers in the power utility, meter manufacturers and metering lab segments. The company has been recently set up by a group of power industry veterans and new entrepreneurs, led by its key promoter, Harry Bhatia, former director, Itron India (subsidary of Itron Inc, USA). It is engaged in the trading of GENY-China fully automatic range of test benches, reference standard meters, and portable test benches, and will soon be launching the local assembly of semi-automatic variants in its Delhi NCR facility. The company also undertakes end-to-end integration and implementation of advanced metering infrastructure networks, manufacturing and marketing of RF modules for AMR conversion and retrofitting projects in both the electricity and gas utility segments. Magnatech also offer meter lab set-up consultancy and implementation services to customer-utilities, meter manufacturing companies and NABL-accredited labs.
