TÜV SÜD has successfully completed performance guarantee (PG) tests for the boiler, turbine, generator (BTG) package of Unit 2 of the Kalisindh coal-based thermal power plant in Jhalawar, Rajasthan. The company was awarded the contract by BGR Energy Systems, which is the EPC company for the project. As a part of the process followed for PG testing, TÜV SÜD used its Class A calibrated instruments along with seven data acquisition systems and its engineering testing team. The company has recently set up a performance testing centre in India. The centre will render performance guarantee and efficiency testing services catering to India and the Asia-Pacific belt.
