The National Green Tribunal has invalidated the environmental clearances obtained by Welspun Energy Private Limited for the 1,320 MW Mirzapur TPP in Uttar Pradesh. The tribunal has cited the concealment of important facts and data regarding the project site as the reason for denying clearance and has directed the company to restore the land to its pre-construction condition.
