NTPC Limited has commissioned the first 800 MW unit

NTPC Limited has commissioned the first 800 MW unit of the upcoming 4,000 MW Kudgi supercritical TPP at Bijapur in Karnataka. With this, NTPC’s total installed capacity has increased to 48,028 MW. Doosan Power Systems India Private Limited and Toshiba JSW Power Systems Private Limited are among the principal contractors for the TPP. The coal requirement of the plant will be met through the Pakri-Barwadih coal block in Jharkhand.
