SEPC Power Private Limited has signed concession and land lease agreements with the V.O. Chidambaranar Port Trust for constructing a captive berth and developing a 525 MW TPP, respectively, in Tamil Nadu. The total value of the projects is Rs 36.64 billion, of which around Rs 35.14 billion will go towards the construction of the TPP while the remaining will be used for the construction of a captive berth for meeting the coal requirements of the TPP. The TPP is likely to be operational by 2019.
