Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited has secured an engineering, procurement and construction contract from the Surat Municipal Corporation for setting up 3.6 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) rooftop systems. The 10 locations identified for the solar PV systems are within the municipal limits of Surat city. Meanwhile, 1 MW of capacity has been reserved for the Surat smart city project.
