China Southern Power Grid International (CSPGI) has submitted a proposal to build, own and operate power transmission networks totallingRs 27.73 billion in response to bids invited by the central government. Bids were invited for three projects – the transmission system for an Ultra-Mega Solar Park at Jaisalmer in Rajasthan (with an investment of Rs 5.36 billion), the Eastern Region System Strengthening Scheme-XXI (Rs 13.21 billion), and the New Western Region-Northern Region Interegional Corridor (Rs 9.16 billion). CSPGI has formed a consortium with CLP India to bid for the projects. Other bidders include Powergrid, Sterlite Power Transmission, Adani Transmission, GMR, and Larsen & Toubro.
