MoP committee recommends lower tariffs for large users

A committee constituted by the MoP has recommended lowering tariffs for heavy users to encourage electricity consumption. The committee, comprising the chairman of the CEA and secretary of the CERC, among others, which was set up to look into the measures for increasing electricity demand in the country is in the process of finalising the report.
