Doosan Skoda Power secures contract for Samra CCPP extension in Jordan

China’s SEPCO III Electric Power Construction Corporation has awarded a contract to Doosan Skoda Power for the fourth stage of the Samra CCPP in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. It will involve the extension of the existing gas cycle by adding a steam section to it. SEPCO III is the main contractor for the whole project, which is owned and operated by the Samra Electric Power Company. Doosan Skoda Power will supply a steam turbine with a 70 MW generator along with other systems for the turbine set. The shipping of the steam turbine and other systems is scheduled for June 2017. The plant will commence operations by June 2018.
