MAN Diesel & Turbo and Guangdong Liyu to supply compact gas turbine in China

Germany’s MAN Diesel & Turbo has collaborated with Chinese firm Guangdong Liyu New Energy Science & Technology for supplying a compact gas turbine package for a decentralised coal handling plant in China, which will replace a coal-fired power station. The plant will be supplied to ENN Ubiquitous Energy Network Technology, a subsidiary of the ENN Group, and will run on a MAN MGT-series gas turbine, which will produce approximately 6 MW of power and 12 MW of heat for an industrial zone at Huaian in Jiangsu province. The replacement of the coal plant is in line with the Chinese government’s aim of lowering emissions by producing energy through highly efficient, gas-powered installations.
