KEC International Limited has announced the successful commissioning of an 11.5 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) plant at Tanakallu in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh for a leading solar developer. The project was commissioned in a span of six months post seeking the requisite approvals. With this plant, KEC has commissioned about 50 MW of ground mounted solar power projects in 2016-17. Overall, KEC has commissioned close to 70 MW of solar projects, including rooftop installations. In addition, the company is working on another 70 MW of projects, including 30 MW on single axis tracking technology. KEC ventured into the solar EPC space two years ago, leveraging its synergies in the transmission and distribution business.
