GE to supply gas turbines for200 MW CCPP in Aboadze in Ghana

GE has secured an order from Amandi Energy for supplying gas turbines with tri-fuel capabilities for a 200 MW CCPP in Aboadze, Ghana. The scope of the contract includes the supply of steam turbines, heat recovery steam generators, associated balance of plant and a seven-year contractual service agreement. The turbines will initially be fuelled by light crude oil and later using Ghana’s domestic gas from the offshore Sankofa natural gas field, once it is available. The electricity generated from the power plant will be enough to power more than 1,000,000 Ghanaian homes.
