State-run Electricity of Vietnam Group’s affiliate, the Northern Power Corporation (NPC) has completed work on the VND 132 billion 110 kV substation at Yen Phong Industrial Zone 5 in Bac Ninh province. The scope of work involved the construction of a 295 metre long, double-circuit 110 kV transmission line, installation of two 110 kV feeders and a 110 kV substation with a transformer capacity of 3×63 MVA. The substation will also feature computer information systems, including supervisory control and data acquisition connections with optical cable, which will help monitor and control equipment in the station connected to China. The substations will ensure adequate power supply and stable production to serve the immediate as well as long-term load in Combo Samsung district, and the Yen Phong IZ enterprises and vicinity.
