Adani Power’s Mundra plant sets national record for continuous operation

The 330 MW Unit 4 of Adani Power Limited’s 4,620 MW Mundra coal-based power plant in Gujarat has created a national record by running continuously for 600 days and generating 4,142.56 units of electricity. Earlier, this record was held by the NTPC unit at the Vindhyachal thermal power plant (TPP) in Madhya Pradesh, which ran continuously for 559 days. Adani Power attributed this achievement to its operational excellence and maintenance programme. The Mundra TPP consists of five supercritical units of 660 MW each and four subcritical units of 330 MW each.
