The Central Electricity Authority (CEA) has released the Annual Generation Target 2017-18 report. As per the report, the CEA has fixed the generation target at 1,229.4 billion units (BUs) for 2017-18. About 78 per cent of the targeted generation is expected from coal-based capacity and 11.5 per cent from hydro, while the rest will come from nuclear and imports from Bhutan.
