MoP and coal producers to finalise framework for ensuring quality of supply

The MoP is in discussions with coal producers to finalise a framework for ensuring the quality of coal supply to power plants. It plans to take steps to encourage third-party sampling of coal. The MoP will host a conference on April 5, 2017, with all coal companies and technical experts, to lay down a strategy that will help coal-based power plants achieve higher efficiency rates.
