NTPC commences generation at 100 kWp floating solar PV plant at Kayamkulam, Kerala

NTPC Limited has commenced electricity generation from its 100 kWp floating solar photovoltaic (PV) plant at Kayamkulam in Kerala. The country’s largest floating solar plant is installed at NTPC’s Rajiv Gandhi Combined Cycle Power Plant in Kerala. The floating platforms were indigenously developed by NTPC’s research arm, NTPC Energy Technology Research Alliance, in collaboration with Chennai-based Central Institute of Plastic Engineering and Technology.
