Sterling & Wilson executes key T&D projects

Sterling & Wilson, an associate company of the Shapoorji Pallonji Group, established its transmission and distribution (T&D) division in 2008 and has since executed several prestigious projects for government and private entities. The company provides solutions for the entire portfolio of design, engineering, supply, project management, erection, testing, commissioning, civil works and maintenance of T&D systems for industries and utilities. In the past, Sterling & Wilson has executed a 400 kV substation with advanced control and protection system as well as supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) compatibility for Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited and for Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited’s (RRVUNL) 1,320 MW Chhabra thermal power plant, and 765 kV projects for Adani Power in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. In the industrial segment, the company has executed a medium voltage power distribution system for a 2.5 million tonne expansion project at Steel Authority of India Limited’s Durgapur Steel Plant. Currently, it is executing 400 kV transmission line projects for RRVUNL and 220 kV transmission line projects for the Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh. In a bid to transmit power to remote places in Manipur, Tripura, Assam and Mizoram, Sterling & Wilson is also developing a 400 kV transmission project awarded by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited.
