SGC China commences works on Mangkang-Sangri project in Tibet

State-owned Chinese transmission system operator State Grid Corporation of China has commenced works on the Mangkang-Sangri power project in Linzhi city of the Tibet Autonomous Region. The project involves the construction of a transmission line connecting Mangkang county in Tibet to Sangri county in the Tibet Autonomous Region, crossing three districts of Xidi county in Tibet. It will also involve the expansion of 16 substations of 110 kV along with the construction of 2,738 km long 110 kV lines. The project is expected to be completed by 2018.
