Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited has commenced commercial operations of the second 1,000 MW unit of the Kudankulam nuclear power plant in Tamil Nadu. With this, the project’s capacity has reached 2,000 MW and the country’s total nuclear capacity has reached 6,780 MW.
