ABB India secures Rs 1.78-billion order from PGCB

ABB India has won an order worth Rs 1.78 billion from Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Limited to support the country’s power infrastructure expansion. As part of the project, ABB India will build two new substations and upgrade two existing substations in the south-eastern parts of Bangladesh. It will build and commission a 132 kV/33 kV air-insulated switchgear (AIS) substation in Kachua and a 132 kV/33 kV GIS substation in Kalurghat, and upgrade two existing 132 kV/33 kV AIS to GIS in Comilla and Modhunaghat. The design, engineering, system integration and supply of key products will be executed in India.
