CIL’s subsidiary South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) has temporarily suspended fuel supply to certain independent power producers (IPPs). Reportedly, the Ministry of Coal has asked SECL to direct supply from its Korba-Rewa coalfield to thermal power plants (TPPs) where the coal inventory has declined to critical and supercritical levels due to limited rail loading availability.
