The Tamil Nadu government has announced the setting up of a 500 MW solar park in Ramanathapuram at an investment of Rs 23.5 billion. The solar park will be developed by TANGEDCO on an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) basis. In addition, TANGEDCO will install 130 new substations and associated power infrastructure, and upgrade the existing substations to improve the state’s power infrastructure.
