Tata Power Company Limited has completed the construction of the 187 MW Shuakhevi Hydropower Project in Georgia through its joint venture (JV) company Adjaristsqali Georgia LLC (AGL). The Shuakhevi project, which was started in 2013, is the largest hydropower plant built in Georgia in the past 50 years. The project entailed an investment of over $420 million. AGL is Tata Power’s JV with Norway-based Clean Energy Invest AS and IFC InfraVentures.
