Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) has launched the Sugam Sanyojan scheme with the aim to simplify the procedure for obtaining residential electricity connections up to 5 kW of load. Under the scheme, an applicant will have to deposit the connection fee in 18 monthly instalments while the utility will bear the infrastructure cost. UPPCL will also hold special camps to issue new power connections.
