AEDC commissions Kukwuba substation, Nigeria

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has commissioned the 2×60 MVA, 132/33 kV substation located in Kukwuba in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) of Abuja, Nigeria. The substation will help address issues of overloading in the capital city. It will add 120 MW to the existing 96 MW wheeling capacity of the FCT network and improve the distribution of energy to power consumers. The project will directly benefit consumers in the immediate environment of Lugbe and indirectly consumers in Wuse II, Gwarimpa, Life Camp, Mabushi and Mpape.
