KKB Engineering and SNPDRI signMoU to collaborate on power plant construction opportunities

Malaysia’s KKB Engineering and China’s State Nuclear Electric Power Planning Design and Research Institute Company Limited (SNPDRI) have signed anMoU, under which both the entities will collaborate to explore power plant construction opportunities in the Malaysian state of Sarawak on Borneo island. KKB will identify energy project opportunities in Sarawak, while SNPDRI will contribute planning, consulting, geological surveys, engineering and EPC services for thermal and renewable power projects, and transmission and distribution related opportunities. The two firms are already in talks with state-owned Sarawak Energy Bhd and the state’s energy ministry.
