CESC Limited is planning to invest Rs 10 billion in the power business in 2017-18. Of this, Rs 6 billion would be dedicated to CESC’s Kolkata distribution network and the rest would be invested in distribution operations in other states. CESC currently operates distribution franchises in the cities of Kota and Bharatpur in Rajasthan, and is keen to invest in Uttar Pradesh.
