Tata Power Company Limited has introduced a QR (quick response) code-based bill payments system in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It is the first utility in the country to take this initiative. To enable the service, the QR code linked to the unified payments interface will be printed on electricity bills that can be scanned to make the payment.
