Thermax India sets up $25 million manufacturing unit in Indonesia

Thermax India Limited has set up a manufacturing unit in Indonesia at an investment of $25 million with the aim to expand its business in the Southeast Asian market. The facility will produce a range of equipment including packaged boilers, heaters, steam accessories, water and waste water treatment plants, and pollution-control devices such as electrostatic precipitators and bag filters. The move will allow the company to offset the sluggish growth in the equipment market in India. Thermax also plans to expand to western Africa and South Africa as a part of its geographical diversification strategy.
