Unit I of Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project resumes power generation

The 1,000 MW Unit I Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project in Tamil Nadu, which was developed by Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited, has resumed power generation. The unit was shut down in April 2017 to initiate the second cycle of refueling, and operations and maintenance. Currently, Unit I is generating 300 MW of power and Unit II is under maintenance.
