SECI postpones the second round of wind power auction

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has postponed the second round of wind power auction to award projects aggregating 1 GW. The auction, which was scheduled to take place on September 19, 2017, has been deferred to October 4, 2017 as the potential bidders are waiting for the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission’s (CERC) order on transmission connectivity. The CERC is likely to notify the order soon, which would provide clarification to bidders regarding interstate transmission connectivity before participating in the auction.
