Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) has launched the Unnat Jyoti by Affordable Lighting for All (UJALA) scheme in Melaka, Malaysia, to promote energy efficiency. Under the scheme, EESL will provide 10 high quality 9 W LED bulbs at a subsidised cost of MYR 10 (almost half the market price) to each household in the state, which will replace 18 W compact fluorescent lamps.
