Spreading Happiness InDiya Foundation (SHIF), a collaboration between cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and Schneider Electric India, has announced that it has empowered 350 households in Badagaon, Barabanki, in Uttar Pradesh, by providing 350 solar home lighting systems. The work in Badagaon will be replicated in many more villages. SHIF has provided solar-based lighting systems to over 16,000 households since its inception and is committed to reaching 25,000 households by 2020.
