BHEL has received an order worth Rs 3.5 billion from Powergrid’s wholly owned subsidiary, Power Grid Medinipur-Jeerat Transmission Limited. The order entails the setting up of two 765 kV substations in West Bengal. The scope of work involves the construction of two 3,000 MVA, 765/400 kV greenfield substations at Medinipur and Jeerat. The project will be engineered by BHEL on a turnkey basis and the substations are slated for commissioning by 2019-20.
