The Bihar government has approved four schemes worth Rs 79.29 billion for strengthening the state’s power transmission and distribution system in order to meet the growing electricity demand by 2021-22. Of the total amount, Rs 10.97 billion has been approved for Bihar State Power Transmission Company Limited, Rs 30.7 billion for the two state distribution companies and Rs 23.53 billion for enhancing the distribution system in and around Patna.
