Saudi-Arabia based ACWA Power has commissioned a 1 GW combined cycle power plant in Turkey. The Kirikkale power plant has been built at a cost of $1 billion under the public-private partnership mode and is expected to meet 3 per cent of the total electricity demand in Turkey. The plant is anticipated to contribute significantly to the country’s economy and deliver reliable power to the Turkish national grid.
