Fortum synchonises 100 MW solar plant in Karnataka

Fortum India Private Limited has successfully connected a 100 MW solar plant at the Pavagada Solar Park in Tumkur district, Karnataka, to the grid. Fortum won the solar project in April 2016 under a reverse auction conducted by NTPC Limited. With this, the solar generation capacity of the company has increased from 85 MW to 185 MW. The company further seeks to allocate Euro 200 million-400 million worth of capital for developing solar projects in India in the coming years.
