The Jharkhand government has transferred over 174.84 acres of land in Godda district to Adani Power Limited for its upcoming 1,600 MW coal-based power plant in the state. About 25 per cent of electricity from the project is likely to be provided to Jharkhand. Also, Adani Power signed a PPA with the Bangladesh Power Development Board in November 2017 to export power from the proposed plant.
