The MoP and the Bureau of Energy Efficiency felicitated some energy efficient companies on December 14, 2017, to mark National Energy Conservation Day. The winners were chosen from among 322 energy efficient companies across the country. The participating units achieved monetary savings of Rs 18.95 billion against a total investment of Rs 14.95 billion in energy conservation measures during 2016-17. Collective energy savings of 2,762 MUs were achieved by these units.
