Reliance Power signs agreements for 750 MW CCPP in Bangladesh

Reliance Power Limited (RPower) has signed agreements for execution of the first phase of its $1 billion (Rs 65 billion) power project in Bangladesh. The first phase of the project consists of a 750 MW combined cycle gas-based power plant to be located at Meghnaghat near Dhaka and a 500 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd) liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal to be set up at Kutudbia island. RPower has signed a terminal use agreement with state-run PetroBangla for the LNG terminal project.
