Torrent Power Limited has commissioned a 400 kV gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) substation in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, to meet the power requirements in the city. The substation has an installed capacity of 945 MVA and has increased the power import capacity of the city to 2,965 MVA. This will enable Torrent Power to improve power reliability in its distribution area in Ahmedabad
