Austrian technology group ANDRITZ Hydro Private Limited has set up a new regional office in Jammu city, Jammu & Kashmir. The office was inaugurated in the presence of the state minister of forests, ecology and environment, and other senior government officials. The company has been operating in the country for over two decades and has two state-of-the-art facilities, in Prithla (Haryana) and Mandideep (Madhya Pradesh), and has commissioned two key hydro projects – the 1,000 MW Karcham Wangtoo (Himachal Pradesh) and the 1,200 MW Teesta III (Sikkim).
