Indian engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured high voltage (HV) transmission projects in the Middle East. The company has secured a contract from Saudi Electricity Company for the construction of a 400 km, 380 kV double circuit overhead transmission line connecting the Qassim 2 and Madina East bulk supply point substations. In addition, the company has received a contract in the UAE for the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of three 132/11 kV substations along with associated works. L&T has also received one contract each from the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Shamal Development LLC and Meraas Development LLC.
