L&T secures T&D contracts worth Rs 5.68 billion

The power transmission and distribution business of L&T has received orders worth Rs 5.68 billion from domestic and international customers. In the domestic market, the company won an EPC order from Sterlite Power Grid Ventures Limited for 765 kV, 400 kV and 220 kV transmission lines associated with the Goa-Tamnar transmission project. Further, it secured an order from Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation Limited for system strengthening works at several subdivisions of the Mysore area. It also received an order from the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company for turnkey construction of the Sokhna 500/220 kV gas-insulated switchgear substation in Egypt.
