The NEA has awarded an $8.79 million contract to a Chinese joint venture (JV) comprising Guangxi Transmission and Substation Construction Company and Shenzhen Clou Electronics Company Limited for the construction of a 220 kV substation in Barhabise. The substation will be used for collecting hydropower from generation projects located in Sindhupalchok district. The contractor is expected to complete construction within two years of the award of contract.
